I think I still have my Billy and the Boingers soft vinyl 45 tucked away somewhere in my box of lost youth :)I just read "Goodnight Opus" with my 5 year old a few weeks ago. It's a bit of a twist on "Goodnight Moon" where Opus "departed the text" (which I had to explain to the girl). The language was a bit advanced for her to get the story on the first read, but it got us talking about words and she was engaged. The story itself is typical Breathed goofiness, but the one thing that really struck me was the richness of the artwork. Very nice.

Does my heart good to learn of another Bloom County fan. Was so sad to see Opus' tale end. I'm looking forward to when my son is old enough to move into Breathed's children's books.

I was happy to have come across the site, Mark. We are always on the hunt for new books for The Girl and Boy. Wow, 500 episodes. Congrats. That is quite an achievement, and a testament to your passion for the subject matter.

Thanks so much for the glowing write-up. We do indeed love children's books and we have a great time reading and talking about them.

We're coming up on episode 500. Will you be the one to have a review included in that show?
